When I was ten I made a tiny house for a cockroach. I figured everyone should have a home. I keep dreaming that there’s just a world out there. I guess I’m still ten in that sense. My mental archives have always been very visual, I mean, it’s what we do the most, we see the world. Since I was 4, my dad would tell me, ‘when you grow up, you have to work, son’ I figured if I was going to do something, I was going to do something I loved. I guess that’s why I’m here, because the cockroach needed a house and I made it beautiful, because I want to see a pretty world, and If I can have something to do with that, even if it’s a tiny fraction of a tiny portion, then that’s a start.
